WeBringCode

Hi, I’m Rikard Lagerman, a full-stack developer, co-founder and CEO of WeBringCode.

Rikard Lagerman

I first got into programming in the mid-90s, messing around with AppleScript on our old Macintosh LC. That soon led to building websites, experimenting with DC++, online forums, and anything else that caught my interest. I didn't follow a particularly conventional path into software development. I just enjoyed building things, figuring out how they worked, and learning as I went.

That hasn't really changed. I still love getting hands-on with the code, and I care about the things that matter to the people using what I build. Does it work well? Is it fast enough? Does it make their lives easier? I also like seeing things through, from understanding the problem to getting a solution up and running.

Over the years, I've worn quite a few hats: developer, architect, team lead, and CTO. Much of that time has been spent improving and modernizing systems that already have a lot of users. When people rely on something every day, starting from scratch isn't always an option. You need to understand what's working, what isn't, and how to make things better without breaking what people depend on. I'm happy to take on whatever role the team needs, but my sweet spot is combining hands-on development with leading people.

Outside work, I'm part handyman, part Sporty Spice, and a dad who's usually right in the middle of whatever mischief my three kids are getting up to. There's almost always a renovation or some other project going on at home, and I've somehow become the unofficial IT support for the entire extended family.
